The IGA is deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of Marta Santos Casamichana, who has passed away following a traffic accident.

Marta, 28 years old, was the groom for Carlos Bosch. 

The accident occurred on Tuesday, 20 May, on the A63 motorway near Cestas, close to Bordeaux, when the van transporting Carlos’s three horses to the CSIO3* in Peelbergen, Netherlands, collided with a truck. 

Five people were injured in the crash, with Marta - who was in the front passenger seat - being the most seriously hurt.

She was rushed to Pellegrin Hospital, but sadly, despite all efforts, her injuries proved fatal.
