Grooms' Voice - how it works

The IGA is the representative voice of the international competition grooms that work for riders and drivers who work at FEI level competitions, shows and events.

Member consultations

One of the main benefits of membership to the IGA is to ensure that your voice and opinions are heard.Black and white 3 girls with horse

The signing of the MOU signifies a moment in time in how the FEI listens to and acts upon the requests of the workforce of our international level sports.

There is only one groom's representative body that the FEI will now collaborate with and that is the IGA – this is what the MOU signifies.

The IGA will conduct periodic member consultations and feedback its findings and recommendations to the FEI Grooms Consultative Group, which is chaired by former groom and former FEI Executive Board member, Frank Kemperman.

IGA Member Voice

The second Grooms Voice survey is now live and members have been invited to participate.

Focusing on accommodation at shows, this survey investigates grooms' living conditions at FEI competitions around the world.

Only IGA members will be able to complete the survey - only IGA members will have their voices heard - please encourage your colleagues and friends to join the IGA so that our voice is well represented in numbers.

The surveys remain open even after we have made our initial report, and we will update our findings as more grooms use their voices.
